Note_:- (i) Vacancies reported in writing from the schools under the control of Local Self Government Institutions shall also be filled up from the Ranked List prepared as per this notification.

(ii) Conventional type application for the above post will be summarily rejected.Candidates can apply through online application available at the Kerala Public Service Commission website.

(iii) Separate Ranked Lists will be prepared for each district in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked Lists thus prepared and published by the Commission shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against vacancies earmarked for the above communities but remain unfilled due to the paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post in the following districts.

(iv) The selection in pursuance of the notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(Ms.) No. 154/71/PD., dated 27-5-1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.(Ms.) No. 4/61/PD., dated 2-1­1961. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post.

1. 5. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment: (from the above mentioned reservation group of communities only) In the absence of SC candidates ST candidates will be considered.
2. 6. Age limit : Should have completed 18 (Eighteen) years of age and should not have completed 42 (Forty Two) years of age in respect of Ezhava,SIUC-N/AI, OBC, LC, Viswakarma and 44 (Forty-four) years of age in respect of Scheduled Caste Communities as on 1.1.2010. (Including the relaxation as per para 2 (i) of General Conditions).

Note:- For concessions allowed in upper age limit subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years, please see Para 2 of the General Conditions under Part II of this notification

1. 7. Qualificaitons :

1) A Degree in Arabic conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala.

OR

A Title of Oriental Learning in Arabic awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala.

OR

A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala with Arabic under part I and II first Language.

OR

A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations Kerala or its equivalent.

AND

A pass in Arabic Munshi Examination (Higher) conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examination, Kerala.

OR

A pass in Arabic Munshi Examination (Lower) conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala.

OR

A pass in Arabic Teachers Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala.

OR

A pass in Arabic Entrance Examination of the Kerala and Calicut Universities.

1. 8. Special Concessions Regarding Appointment and Age Limit:
2. 1. Preference will be given as laid down in G.O(Ms)No.50/70/PD dated 12.02.1970 and G.O(Ms)No.9/78/G.EDn. dated 21.01.1978 to the Wives of Jawans in the matter of

recruitment as teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualification. Soldiers in active service and those working in Base establishment are included under the terms Jawans, Wives of Jawans must select “Are you entitled to any priority” as ‘Yes’ on online application and give the details in the following space. Such candidates should obtain proper certificates from the officer commanding stating the name, Military rank and Military address of their husbands and produce the same as and when required by the

Commission (G.O(Ms)No.509/64/Edn. dated19.09.1964, G.O(Ms)No.614/65/EDn. dated 09.11.1965 and G.O(Ms)No.243/66/Edn.dated 27.05.1966).

1. 2. First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment

as Teachers (G.O(MS)No.122/75/G.Edn. Dated 27.05.1975.

Note: The candidates who claim concessions in lieu of any of the above reasons should select “Are you eligible for age relaxation” as ‘Yes’ on the online application and give details in the following space.

1. 9. Last date of receipt of applications: 07/04/2010 Wednesday up to 5 PM.

10. The applications can be submitted only by on line facility provided in the website of the Kerala Public Service Commission. Detailed instruction regarding the submission of the application are available in the website of the Kerala Public Service Commission viz.

www.keralapsc.org. No application fee is required. The barcode number in the application form shall be quoted in all further enquiries/correspondence. Documents to prove qualifications, age and community etc. have to be produced as and when called for. Applications which are submitted not is accordance with the instruction given in the website will be summarily rejected.

Note: Candidates should take a printout (Receipt) of their admitted application and retain the same after entering the barcode number for further communications.
